I'm retired, worked for McDonnel Douglas 10yrs and now reside on a 20 acre 'work farm' being retired is a joke....we have more work now and are more tired than when we worked 10 hr days!! I have animals, horses, donkeys, dogs, chickens, a turkey, and 2 macaws. We have a beautiful view of Mt Adams and the Simcoes.
I used to cook all the time but got away from it while single, just got married again at the ripe ol' age of 67, so now I'm cooking for 2 again.
I love seafood, king crab legs, dungeness, blue crab, lobster, all kinds of fish. We like pork better than beef as it has more flavor and it's the other white meat. I love recipes from other countries and like to try new things. My mom always made us try one T. of whatever she fixed and the only things I still don't like are brains, kidneys, and tongue...yuck! maybe I just haven't found the 'right' recipe. Fresh salads and veggies are on the top of my list also. The soup I'm famous for is Cuspajs, it's a Yugoslav thick soup of beef, green beans and potatoes, this is a peasant soup according to my MIL.
