about me

I am a stay-at-home mom, married, with 2 children, a dog, and a cat. I grew up in a restaurant family in Wisconsin and started helping in the kitchen when I was 5 or 6 years old. I love all cookbooks. I especially enjoy cooking for large groups. I've been living in South Carolina for over 15 years and have learned much about southern cooking. I love junk/thrift store shopping. Nothing better than finding an awesome deal! My biggest pet peeve has to be when people are late.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite thing to cook is spaghetti with meat sauce. So basic, yet so yummy! Dishes that others like most are my meatloaf, fajitas, and fried chicken. My husband loves my Chicken a la King. I have a delicious brownie recipe that was a "runner's up" in a national brownie contest. Everyone loves my sweet tea (but I can't tell you myself because I don't even like sweet tea). I'm a picky eater & don't like gourmet food. I love a good recipe that uses ingredients most people have on hand. I don't have one favorite restaurant. I have favorite dishes at many places. Most often, we eat out at a local Mexican place here in town.
