about me

I'm a single mother of an 8 year old son. I was born in Michigan, but spent the majority of my life in Georgia. The way I figure it, I'm a Georgian because I learned to drive here. You'd know what I meant if you lived here or have ever driven here in rush hour.

I love spending time with my son doing simple things. You'd be surprised how much stress relief a coloring book and crayons can bring. I'm also glad to be involving my son in my recent desire to cook away. Other interests include photography, scrapbooking, playing games at Pogo, watching movies, live music, reading, billiards, bowling and more...I'll try anything once.

Favorite Foods:

I've always had a thing for casseroles. I've just begun my true journey in cooking. I recently began spending my weekends in amazement watching the Food Network so I am hoping that it will serve as fuel to create some divine dishes with common ingredients for low cost. Some of my recipes are just a matter of making a simple change to a main ingredient to bring some variety to my life.
