I'm a stay @ home mom for the time being and loving it,I have 5 kids, the youngest is 3 then 16,17,18(teenagers-aaauugghhhhhhh)and 22 -2 dogs, a Welsh Corgie that thinks he's Napoleon, a shepard mix,a 19yr old cat & 2 turtles
I'm taking advantage of this time away from the workforce and enjoying my little one/finding the time to do things I really didn't have time 4 before!!! I've forgotten how fun it can be to "stay home" and how it can drive me out of my mind all in the same day

I love to read cookbooks, garden and listen to the Splendid Table on NPR. I'm a big fan of the Locavore Nation.
I have way to many cookie cutters-they crept up on me or it's just a sickness!
I'm trying my hand at canning since I found recipezaar, I always wanted to try but never
felt comfortable with it. I'm looking foward to using my brand new clean and shinEEE pressure canner(thx u to my DH and all the kids) for my garden bounty!

Portuguese, Indian, Greek, Chinese, Moroccan... That being said, one of the bennies to living right outside of NYC is having a vast choice of eateries. If your visiting the city, try Cafe Reggio on MacDougal between 3rd and Minetta Lane. It's an old Italian coffee house, great espresso, tea's and desserts... It’s mostly locals, small, cramped and delish! Being a foodie (chances are, you are) I think you will truly enjoy this place. It's my DH's and mine favorite and the Village is always fun
