This is our little girl, Penny. She's 2 years old.
Well I thought it was about time to update my page.
Just turned half a century old this year. Can't say that getting wiser comes with it.
Actually I think that you are supposed to get your mind then.
I haven't gotten mine yet though!~
Fianlly got my digital camera this year too.
Now I can learn to put pictures of all the fantastic dishes I make on here, don't matter if they are my recipes or yours.
Rating a recipe can be difficult. I like to be fair.
If I make a recipe and it was not good, probably me then and you might like it.
If the recipe didn't come out fork tender, or juicy, or tasty enough, probably not your fault and I won't rate you for my mistakes. I think that is just totally wrong. I should have tasted it for taste, watched it closer for doneness, or not let it dry up. You get it.
I love making large family meals or just little ones for me and my husband. Now if I could just convince myself that there really is only 2 of us living here I wouldn't feel the need to fill up the pot or pan and end up with a meal for 10. Glad I own a food saver!
I live on a farm with my husband, 3 dogs, 2 cows, and 36 chickens, 12 of which are roosters and they will become part of a delicious recipe.
The remaining 25 I use for my egg business. They work for food and they are fairly cheap labor.
I belong to an organization called Project Linus. We make blankets for children that have been hospitalized, abused, or in some other awful situation that just need something warm and soft to cuddle. Maybe make them feel a little more safe and loved.
I plan to try a new hobby this year.
I'll up date for that later IF I try it.
I have 3 children and my husband has 2, so we have 5
I have 3 grandchildren and my husband has 1, makes 4.
I was also in the "2007 Fall Halloween Swap",
the 2007 Christams Stocking swap and I was also adopted in 2007 in adopt a chef.
In 2008 I was in the Salt & Pepper shaker Swap and now I am hosting the first "Cookin' Casserole" Swap.
The Garden Swap.
Now the Cookbook Swap.
This is the best website I have ever found to be a part of. It's like an extended family. As for food
well...............it's soooo good!

Love Mexican, including enchiladas, tacos and mexican casseroles.
Seafood, lobster, crab and shrimp, many kinds of fish, long as it's not breaded.
Many kind of casseroles, chicken, pork and fruit salads without jello and cream sauces.
Ribs are favorites too. Best is the one dish meals.
When there are family get togethers my family always insists that I make the potato salad and do most of the cooking.
I don't measure things too often so a lot of pinching and dashing.
So when it comes to writing a recipe, I usually end up guessing how much I add in.
I have always been one to try new things and lately it's been an interest in yeast breads and rolls.
I'm sure many other things will be coming along that will strike my interest too.
