I am a "transplant" to the Great Smoky Mountains area of East TN. Before that, I lived in several states, but primarily I lived in New England (CT, MA & NH).
I have a husband and beautiful boy who keep my very busy. I work full-time as a Safety Manager in manufacturing and I volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are working on our 1st cookbook fundraiser!
Steak, steak, steak, steak, steak. Did I say steak yet? There is a wonderful restaurant in Southern NH (Nashua) called Michael Timothy's. They have a filet mignon dish that will make you think you've died and gone to heaven.
Hubby and I have finally got our steak recipe down pat. I marinate, he grills. But, once in a while, it is a nice treat to let another "chef" do the cooking for us!
Also, if you're ever in Southern NH, make sure to go to Ya Mamma's italian restaurant in Merrimack. It sounds silly, but they have terrific food and it is much nicer inside than it looks from the outside.
Beyond that, I love pepperoni pizza (of, course!) and chocolate. We enjoy good quality wines, also. I have two favorite - late harvest riesling and pinot noir. If you ever get the chance, please visit the Finger Lakes region of NY and take home some of their wines.
