I lost 30 pounds using the Weight Watchers Flex plan, and have maintained my weight for 2 years using the Core plan. I find the Core plan is very easy to follow, and so many of my favorite recipes can be easily modified to fit the program. My favorite cookbook (since I love my crockpot), is "Fix It And Forget It Lightly." Many of the recipes are low points or can easily be made core with minor substitutions.
I have a wonderful husband and five teenagers to feed, so I can't just pass off "good enough" food or "diet" food just because I'm trying to maintain my weight - it's got to be a crowd pleaser!
I work out of my house and rely heavily on last night's left overs for lunches and snacks throughout the day.
Now that I cook from scratch instead of relying on packaged foods or dining out, I've become a huge fan of the produce section of my supermarket! My favorite food is Italian, and I have a fantastic lasagna recipe that is CORE (!!) but I really enjoy cooking soups and stews for my family.
