Hello everybody, my name is Adriana, I am a 25 year old Italian girl, I study medicine and if everything goes the right way I'll be a doctor by the end of the year! I know it may sound weird, but recently I've been having second thoughts about my career and life as a doctor, and though I'm determined to get my degree anyway, I'm starting to think of a different life doing the only thing that really always makes me happy, which is cooking (;P)! We'll see...Apart from cooking I love drawing, reading, singing, and all sorts of handcraft.
My favourite time of year is definitely Christmas, and I'm always looking forward to its magical atmosphere, even though I think every season has its charm, and I'm lucky enough to always be happily looking forward to what's coming next!
If I had time and money to spend, I would love to take a long trip to the U.S.A., especially the mountains region, or to Scandinavia (which I'm actually going to do this summer, when I'll be working in a hospital in Stockholm for four weeks during an exchange programme - I'd love to go there on holiday though, and during Christmas time, of course...!), and I've recently fallen in love with Provence, where I've been for a short time last summer, I'll definitely repeat the experience.
P.S. My mum was tired of sneaking in your lovely site with my chef name, so she recently registered as Great Goat...she's a good cook, but to me she is mainly my official taster, and I can tell you she's VERY good at that...!!
I've always been a sweets-lover, so I'm always happy to eat chocolate (especially milk chocolate) or a good dessert, but growing up has changed my taste slightly and now I can't do without mushrooms and fish, shellfish especially, hot chili pepper (I put it on top of everything!) and all kind of vegetables. My most recent love is for sashimi (drool, drool....), even though I've always loved exotic cuisine, indian and mexican on top!
I'm a famous cakes/muffins/biscuits maker, my omelettes and quiches are also usually a hit, and I love to invite people over and prepare "theme menus" from appetizer to dessert (I recently had a " black forest cuckoo-party" for a cuckoo clock that my mom received as a present, with all sorts of German and Tyrolese food)
