about me

I live in a tiny flat in the center of Milan with my sweet dachshund dog named Penelope (Penny). I'm a doctor specializing in family medicine, though everybody tends to think I'm the nurse or the assistant, or perhaps even a student since I tend to look a lot younger than I am....everybody tells me I'm going to appreciate it, but for now I still find it a little annoying!!
I've always loved cooking, when I was a child I wanted to be a patisserie cook (not sure the word is correct...), and I still can't understand how I got to be a doctor instead...anyway I still enjoy cooking at any time, and cooking for friends and family (Penelope included) is my weird way to show them my love (;P)

SALMON SASHIMI!!!!
fish and shellfish in general, but also a nice rare steak, vegetables and fruit...I guess I like mediterranean food, except for pasta, risotto, and pizza ( yeah, I know I'm italian and this is weird... it's not that I don't like them, it's just that I always find that I'd rather have something else..!) but I pretty much like any cuisine. I'm not very keen on sweets even though I love to cook them.
Unfortunately, for my health and for my silhouette - but luckily for my tastebuds - I've grown very fond of good wine lately, and also like a fresh beer or nice cocktail every once in a while (...well, maybe a bit more than that... ;> )
Oh, and how could I forget BLOODY MARY!!!!

My boyfriend Giulio is a risotto fan and he thinks my best dish is definitely seashell risotto, strictly followed by pork roast, but he likes pretty much anything I cook for him, and the lucky guy is costitutionally thin, so he can happily eat plenty of everything!!!
