I was raised here in the south, but it is surely not my style of cooking! I love to work in the kitchen, trying out new exotic recipes. I am quite interested in Irish, Scottish, Transylvanian/Romanian, Medieval and German cuisine. I also love Italian. I use a lot of herbs, and I am learning more about cooking and pairing with wine--I could use some advice. In my opinion, Gourmet is the best culinary magazine. And, for me, going into the kitchen store is walking into a toy store.
I am really not big on sweets, but I must say my favorite "dolci" would have to be Tiramisu. I love anything with pomegranates and strawberries. Pomegranates are the fruit of my heart! I also enjoy figs, pumpkin, and berries. I love to cook with lavender. I prefer white over red wine, at least, so far. I love pasta and fish.
My favorite restaurants [here] would be: Bocci's, Queen Anne's Revenge, Tommy Condon's, Carrabba's, Olive Garden, and Romano's Maceroni Grill.
