about me

I live in the very most southwestern corner of New York state in Chautauqua. It is a touristy place with Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake to draw people in. Also, for those interested in a more intellectual vacation, the Chautauqua Institute is wonderful.
The first think I remember cooking was hamburgers for my family after my youngest sister was born...I was 7, and of course, there was close supervision. I have always enjoyed cooking, but LOVE to bake.
My pet peeves include when people bring an excellent dish to a big get-together, but they will not share the recipe because it is "secret"...

Favorite Foods:

Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh fruit, Italian....I could go on and on...My short list of foods I dislike includes squash, and any vegetable or meat that is cooked with something sweet...like candied carrots.
