about me

I live in Alexandria, Louisiana which is in Central Louisiana. I am married and mom of 3 children. I am a nurse. I enjoy cooking, playing with my kids, visiting friends, reading detective books, and outdoor activities. I do not have a favorite cookbook but I love collecting cookbooks. I buy a lot of them a yard sales. I would say some of my favorites are cookbooks that I buy from organizations having fundraisers (churches, etc.) because they often contain recipes that are easy for everday cooking. I do not have a lot of pet peeves, I guess the thing that bothers me most are people that constantly complain about how badly things are going for them...they fail to notice that their problems are minimal compared to people around them.

Favorite Foods:

I love chocolate...the darker the better. I love to make homemade cheesecakes with gourmet-style crusts and toppings. At gatherings, I'm often asked to make cheesecakes, I also make an awesome lasagna, and chicken enchiladas. My favorite restaurant is called Black's in Abbeville, LA.
