about me

Hi! I live in the southeastern corner of Nebraska, chillaxing in rural comfort and going to college for chemical engineering. I love to cook for my family and friends, especially my judo club teammates. They eat whatever I put in front of them.

I have a large family--six brothers, one sister and two parentals--and feeding everyone can be a hassle. I prefer to cook on the run instead of following a recipe exactly.

One thing that I find funny, and sometimes a little painful, is that so many people consider it a compliment to say that "It tastes just like a store-bought mix/candy/whatever!" I'd rather make something better than what stores (and wholesale manufacturers) provide--I cook because I don't want to eat, or even taste, mass produced foods! Silly peoples.

Favorite Foods:

I'm a fan of baking; cookies, brownies, cupcakes and cheesecakes are my favorites. My specialties are Charlotte cream wafers, Bavarian Mint, quick breads, chicken pot pie and lemonade pie.
I also like playing with Oriental cuisine, Indian-style cooking, and different ways to use chicken and turkey. Birds are so tasty!
