While I was my mom's own personal sous-chef for 29 years, when she passed away in June 2006 I was absolutely terrified to take on cooking on my own. Thankfully I picked up more than I realized from mom and good cooking seems to be hereditary (I keep shocking myself)!

Finding Recipezaar has help me be brave and try new things - so I thank you all for posting, so far EVERYTHING has been delicious. My fiance thanks you, I thank you and I look forward to posting some of our family favorites soon...
