About me: I've been a starry eyed newly-wed since June 2006, passionate about my husband & going places together.

My other passions/ hobbies include cooking & baking, looking after our new home & yard, working out, scenic photography, watercolor paints, making wreaths & centerpieces... I love hosting huge parties & doing all the prep myself.

I am still trying to figure out how my rating system works, so please bear with me... I'll update as I figure things out.

5 stars = This turned out awesome, we both loved it & have added it to our favorites to serve to guests. Looks & tastes fabulous!
4 stars = We really enjoyed this & will definitely be making this again.
3 stars = This was good, but not spectacular. Feel that the recipe's prep times were off, or that some ingredients were overpowered, etc. We will be trying this one again, to see what can be done to improve it.
1-2 stars = Just not our taste, so not really fair to judge.

Favorite Foods:

A favorite food??? I don't think we have just one!

We love to experiment, really enjoy curries, & are sort of getting into Indonesian & Vietnamese, now that we've decided that we're not vegetarian after all. We have a lot of traditional "Dutch" recipes that we love (inc. shoarma, nasi goreng, bahmi goreng, kip kerrie, loempia, etc. I know, none of these originate in NL, but that's where I got to try them first!) We don't like to eat out, the food at home is way too good!

I am famous for always making too much of everything, I come from a large family & am still not used to cooking for two. Friends & family know better than to eat before a get-together at my house!
