I'm a law student living in Brooklyn, NY. I recently started living with The Boy, who's a wizard in the kitchen. As a result, I now have an incentive to expand beyond my midwestern roots which seem to dictate that everything I cook involves tunafish, noodles, scrambled eggs, cheese, or peanut butter.
I love all kinds of food and will eat anything and everything, but so far have not been able to bring that into my own kitchen. I do have some good recipes from time spent living in Ecuador and Japan, plus a few Ugandan, Thai, Chinese, and Indian dishes from various travels. I'm hoping to actually start using those recipes, and to build a more exciting kitchen repertoire.
I love anything spicy, and I like unusual combinations. I also have strange predilections for cornmeal-based mush and for anything steamed in banana leaves. How to wow me: put it on a stick!
