about me

I work as a professional stagehand for my local union (IATSE Local 26, West Michigan Stagehands), which takes me all over the state and lets me meet all sorts of interesting people. In October of 2005, I was elected to my second three-year term as Recording Secretary of my union local. In August of 2003, I began serving on the Michigan State Union Label and Service Trades Council as a delegate. In October of 2003, I became the webmaster for the state council. In June of 2005, I was elected to serve as a delegate to my union's international convention in mid-July, which was held in Honolulu (and is where my picture above was taken). In October of 2006, I was elected to my third term as Financial Secretary for the West Michigan Union Label Coalition. Currently, I am the News Editor at a computer tech site as well as a moderator of their forums.

My biggest passion is union activism. The more I get involved, the more I want to be involved. My goal is to someday be active on a state and/or national level in both my international union and the Union Label and Service Trades department of the AFL-CIO.
