about me

I started cooking with my grandmother when I was 9. She cooked South American dishes. Later, my other grandmother taught me classic Southern dishes. I started collecting recipes and now I have hundreds of great recipes, but I still like trying new ones. I just started baking about 5 years ago. I only baked cakes before that, but now I bake things just about every other day. My breads are delicious, if I do say so myself! I have three grown children, who will try anything I make. My husband and I like to eat at home and we like trying new recipes. Being a member of Recipezaar has been a wonderful experience. The variety of great recipes seems endless!

Favorite Foods:

Chicken, salmon, eggplant, butternut squash, yams, red bell peppers, blueberries, and every kind of bread and soup. I love spicy foods.
