about me

Did you know that you can type in the degree symbol ° by holding down the Alt key and typing 248? Go ahead try it, I'll wait. Cool eh?

I am a freelance graphic designer and public relations specialist. I do websites, corporate ID packages, document layouts, photography and retouching, and pretty much anything else that gets thrown my way. I love to work. I am blessed with my artistic gifts and passion. My job is to get that marketing monkey off your back.

I am usually home with my 4yo DD, if I'm not driving all over town doing everyone's errands. I am married to the Big Gorilla with four monkeys at home, but it's usually just me and the 4yo hanging out while everyone is at school and work.

I am a member of Celebration Church Bayside, and looking forward to working with the Creative Communications team as we expand our outreach campuses. I'm so very excited and blessed. Check out the videos and audio. We have a blast! Do you know we have the funniest pastor on the face of this earth? It's true. Mark Gungor is the founder of Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage. His seminars are held all over the place, even on some ocean cruises. http://www.laughyourway.com/

I am also very involved in our Celebrate Freedom ministry. It is a God centered 12 step recovery program. I sing with the worship team, although the 4yo thinks I suck and should sing "Twinkle Star" and "We Will Rock You". I'll have to see if I can work that into the rotation.

I have something called Spinal Stenosis. This is a very good resource for it : http://www.spinalstenosis.org . In everyday terms, my lower back hurts a lot when I sit, walk or lie down. I am having surgery to correct this very soon, which is truly a gift from God. I haven't been pain free in over 10 years. But... I do get to park really close to the doors at Walmart

Favorite Foods:

I love vegetables. Well, not carrots, but pretty much everything else. I range from an extravagant chef to a lazy packet meal gal. It usually depends on how tired I am and if there are enough dishes. I am allergic to all fish and shellfish, so you won't find any catch of the day recipes here.

My favorite restaurant? The one I go to the most would be Julie's Cafe. It's a down-home cafe, no frills, and kids eat free on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I guess they weren't planning on my troop. 6 people - 15 bucks - priceless

I'm one to make a meal out of the appetizers. I may be from Wisconsin, but I'm not a brats and cheese curds kid. Well ok, once in awhile and maybe for tailgating. Speaking of which... GO PACK GO!!! I do like fried cheese curds though. I love hot stuff and will try almost anything once, maybe twice to make sure. I've been on a mean buffalo wings kick lately. I just keep telling myself that all that capsicum is good for my pain.

My most famous dish is my deviled eggs. The inlaws and outlaws seem to ask for it at every get-together. They also love my pork ribs, sausage egg skillet, fried potatoes, ... come to think of it, they like all my homestyle foods.

This.. well this I'm just putting here for safe keeping. I love Mean's recipes and have been trying to find them here and there until I found this cookbook.. thanks SusieQusie. http://www.recipezaar.com/cookbook.php?bookid=89996
