Panamanian-Canadian angel

about me

I live just outside of a small town called Huntsville in the province of Ontario, Canada. I am Panamanian-Canadian and came to Canada in 1999 to go to University. I met my husband here and the rest is history!

The passion for food was all around me when I was growing up. As a latin-american, we are a culture of relationships based on food. You go to someone's house, they feed you... My role model was my grandma. She was always in the kitchen cooking up something amazing...and EVERYONE loved her cooking. They lived for her parties that she catered herself.

One of my pet peeves relating to food is people who are afraid to taste new cuisines or try a new twist on an old favourite. Be adventurous! You may just be missing out on some amazing food!

Favorite Foods:

Favourite meal to cook: At the moment, it is lime-scallion chicken with sweet carrot rice and lemon pud for dessert.

Dish I am famous for: I can't take full credit for this...but I am really good at making my sister's lasagna recipe! I am also a pretty good baker and can make a mean cake.

Favourite restaurant: Don't have one in particular, but there are a few in Huntsville that I enjoy: Soul Sistas, Tall Trees, and Beauideal.
