I'm a Navy Newlywed, and have only come to enjoy cooking in the past 2 or 3 years. After our last relocation, I've been unable to find full-time work in my specialized field, so cooking has become one of my favorite activities. I'm currently working on creating a one month menu without repeats, all receiving 5-star ratings from my husband. I'm just beyond the halfway point, and hope to find success in this little venture soon. My husband and I enjoy eating in more often than out, but I do enjoy attempting to recreate our favorite meals from restaurants we discover on vacations, which must always include SCUBA, skiing or some other outdoor sport.
Too many to mention...but, I'm on a quest to re-create halibut in a red grape and wine reduction (discovered in Glacier, WA). It may be one of the best fish dishes I've ever tasted, next to Halibut in a Cloud from Hope, Alaska (a dish I'll never even try to reproduce, as the memory may be destroyed!)
