Andi of Longmeadow Farm

I was brought up with farming in my veins, and today have gone back to it full time ~ after being a nurse, a management analyst, a mother, and a sundry of other things throughout my lifetime.
I live on, and own "The Longmeadow Farm" in a small rural town in Maryland.

Right now, since my 90 year old father still lives here too, we own cattle of which we also plant cattle corn, alfalfa, rye, and soybean in our long fields.
And lastly, though should be firstly, I have not been getting review notifications as often as I used to. So I want you to know how much I am honored by you making a recipe of mine. I hope it brought satisfaction to your food table and a memory or two. I thank you beyond what glory my heart can show. Thank you.
I know each of my cattle by number, by looks, and by how they behave around me. Some are very shy, but will always come up for a scratch by their ears, and some would run you over just to be next to you. Many come running by name to grab some fresh corn out of my opened hand, or get a fist-full of green pasture grass. I love each of them, although I confess to favorites, such as "Daisy-Mae", "Stan", "Thumbalina - The Bull", "Big Betsy", and "Flossie".

My recipes most often include some kind of story about the farm or centered around a farm meal. Food is high on the list of priorities here, since we grow such many different types. Fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts, and potatoes and we can be almost fully stocked for the winter.
I adore the community of Recipezaar. Quite often, this is my fun outlet, and have been so happy to have so many wonderful friends on this site.
