I LOVE food and cooking - from Mediterranean to African, from subtle to spicy. My favourite food writer is Elizabeth David and I also have a high regard for Julia Child.
I am a freelance writer and my subects are varied, but also include food and a wine column.
Mexican, Thai, Indian and
African foods challenge me - the interesting intermingling of spices and basic products. In my kitchen I do add quite a lot of spices, but believe in good balance and subtlety. When I'm frustrated or stressed out I get a bread-dough going, knead with passion and bake with pleasure.
