about me

Hi!

Orignally from Chicago, I now live in the sunny Phoenix with my husband, Tom, sons; Justin (21) and Nicholas (18) and our dogs, Axel and Jhazmine and kitty, Bella. I work for JP Morgan Chase as an Executive Adminstrative Assistant in downtown Phoenix.

I have a compulsion/obsession for cookbooks. My husband says we may have to build a "wing" onto the house...I have soooo many. I really do not have a favorite, although I do like the Taste of Home books because they contain recipes my family will actually eat. My passions are cooking great food for family and friends, music and traveling to warm, tropical places...oh and SHOPPING!

Favorite Foods:

I love anything with carbohydrates...sweets in particular! I LOVE Italian food and of course...dessert...specifically cheesecake or anything with chocolate and caramel (together)! I like to cook anything that makes people smile when they eat it.

I am most famous for my "Magic Cookie Bars" or "7 Layer bars" (as they are also known) that I make during the holidays. I'll really be in trouble with my Father-in-Law if these are not part of my holiday cookie tray. One of my neices craves my Pumpkin Squares at Thanksgiving time. One year I made a different recipe for them and boy did I hear about it!!! Everyone looks forward to my Christmas Snack Mix AKA "White Trash" that I make each year. 8)

My favorite restuarant hands down would have to be Bob Chinns Crab House in Wheeling, IL. Very relaxed atmosphere, but VERY loud. It's a great place to go with a big group of people. The BEST snow crab ever and their Liliqoi Lime drink is not bad either!

That's me in a nutshell...thanks for reading! 8-)
