Hi! Thanks for taking the time to stop by My Page! I am married to a quiet, but fun loving guy who cleans up the kitchen!! I have two sons, 5 granddaughters, 1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter. In addition, I have a stepdaughter and a stepson. I am retired from being a paralegal and a real estate agent. I have also been a substitute teacher for the elementary grades in the public school system.

I like Taste of Home magazine and I am a big fan of foodnetworktv. I am a southern girl and enjoy comfort foods!!! I am a big cookbook collector and have been since 1960. I have many boxes of recipes from various sources. I enjoy baking desserts most of all. I also enjoy games on my laptop, growing flowers, lunches with friends, babysitting grandchildren, photography and traveling. Since life is so short I try to count my blessings each day and give to the less fortunate. I had gotten into a rut on what to cook. Therefore, I am so happy I found the Recipezaar site.

MY RATING SYSTEM:
5 stars - Excellent in taste. May have minor change.
4 stars - Adjustment in ingredients for flavor.
3 stars - Fair, but not sure whether I would repeat.
2 and 1 stars - I do not give.

Favorite Foods:

Applebee's is my favorite restaurant. I basically like all kinds of food.

I'm known for my Old Fashioned Mac 'n Cheese dish which I carry to family reunions. I love to have pretty dinner plates on the table. My favorite foods are: Spaghetti with homemade sauce, homemade vegetable soup, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, baked mac 'n cheese, cobb salad, steak, chinese foods, french dip sandwiches, blueberry cheesecake, cream cheese pound cake, shortbread cookies, WOW...I could go on and on...you see I love to eat! Well, all of that in MODERATION - that is the key, moderation! I am a great lover of fruits, vegetables, nuts, granola, cereals, yogurt, healthy breads. low sugar items and I am constantly aware of a balanced nutritional diet. I have always heard you should have a "pretty" plate with the different variations of food colors. All of this is my goal — a good balance and using moderation!
