about me

A little about me...

I am about to start student teaching elementary school as part of finishing up my degree in Early Childhood Education. I work part time as an administrative assistant to a very busy CPA. I recently celebrated my THREE YEAR wedding anniversary.



Although I keep pretty busy I'm able to find time to put some good meals on the table thanks to the Zaar! Other than my love for cooking, I enjoy crafts, reading, writing, spending time with friends/family, church activities, and all types of music. I recently took up playing the keyboard, and am loving it so far.

To explain the website listed, I was diagnosed with a pilonidal cyst/the disease about a year ago. It's been a rocky road. I still spend a bit of time in doctor's offices but in regards to food, am trying to eat better and eat more of foods that build my immune system. You'll see a lot of foods including spinach, vitamins, or extra protein in my reviews & recipes.

Favorite Foods:

I love anything and everything with cheese... pretty much every cheese except for blue. I love fresh veggies in almost anything... which makes my cooking a challenge at times, because I have a very picky DH who doesn't like veggies at ALL and isn't as big of a cheese fan as I am. He literally could live off meat and potatoes...

But my favorite dish to cook would be my lasagna - it's the first recipe I invented myself that we both love! I also love bringing unique sweets or drinks to get togethers and am starting to be known for those too.

I love spicy foods and my favorite restaurants are On The Border and Chipotle... I love a few "mom & pop" italian restaurants near us... no pizza beats their's!

I also consider Starbuck's a favorite... it is my shameful addiction... non-fat drinks, though, of course!
