O.k., so originally I came to this site trying to learn how to cook meat for my husband whose venture into vegetarianism turned out to be merely an attempt to woo me while we were dating...but having failed at that, I am overjoyed to report that my husband has acquiesced to undergoing veganization. We are in the process of instituting a vegan household by slowly using up remaining diary products (and a few meat ones), while not buying any new non-vegan items.
Other tid-bits:
- I'm a full-time student; wife; mommy of a gorgeous and loving 6-year-old daughter and gurgly 3 month old son; and armchair philosopher (a.k.a. babbler...)
- I like using a real teapot instead of nuking my water. (Honestly, I don't even own a microwave. There's not enough counter space for that and my breadmaker). It's the simple things in life...
Cheap, easy, vegetarian...I love lentils, a.k.a. manna from heaven. Mmmm...lentils...
Also, curry powder makes everything good. (Actually, curry powder doesn't make pecan pie good. Nothing makes pecan pie good. I think pecan pie may be the only food on the planet which, no matter how it's prepared or by whom, I will always spit out of my mouth. Sorry pecan pie chefs...I'm sure you have many other fine recipes to offer me)!
