I lend truth to the saying, "Never trust a skinny cook". That saying may or may not be true however Chef Paul Prudhomme of New Orleans fame and I share some things in common; our size and our passion for things culinary. Being "ethnic" (Hungarian and French Canadian) my entire family live to eat and most would agree, I am the best of the best since Aunt Irene passed away. She and my mom were my finest inspirations. Both were outstanding in the kitchen. Italian and Chinese cuisine are among my most favorite.
The list is extensive, much too lengthy to post here. To name just a few .. Hungarian Gulyas, Chicken Paprikasz, Dobos Torta, Hobos Rolo (Cream Horns), French Canadian "Glissants" (Chicken And Dumplings), French Onion Soup, Baked Croutons, Pickled Beets, Chili Sauce .... Chinese cuisine (Cantonese) and Italian (Tuscany) are my choices in restaurants for the times I need to celebrate a day off in the kitchen.
