about me

I am 27 and a stay at home mom to 3 kids ( 2 little girls with a sweet little boy sandwhiched inbetween. I love to decorate cakes and make other sweets. I also love cooking healthy fresh whole food dishes, I have to balance out the sweets somehow. We have one dog and a very busy household so dinners and meals in general have to be somewhat quick. On Saturday evenings we entertain friends and try new recipes out and have a big meal together and enjoy the joy that comes around when good food and good company combine! I paint and draw when I have the time. I have been trying to get my portraiture business off the ground, if you want to check out my artwork its posted on my myspace page but I will hopefully have a web page up soon. I also help my husband out with his side jobs. He does trim work and other handy man things when he isn't building houses. I love walking and my husband has gotten me into mountain biking since his riding buddy is moving back home. My kids and I try to have at least one adventure a week, even if its just hitting the grocery store or the city park. We love to spend time outside and this year we have the start of our first garden, hopefully it will produce here in the drought conditions. My husband and I would love to be totally self sustaining eventually and I think once we get our final house built on the land that we own we will be able to have the livestock and a garden that would feed all of us for years.

Favorite Foods:

I love salads and fruits, comfort foods, fresh Italian dishes (I love Everyday Italian)and other European dishes. I love Mexican every now and then and I love challenges in the kitchen, Just get me over my fear of meat on a bone. People know me for all of the birthday cakes that I have made for my kids (they have never had a store bought cake 5 years and going strong). They also know that I am willing to try and cook just about anything...if worse comes to worse there is always take out!
