I used to be a corporate trainer in the financial services industry. I am now a SAHM (stay-at-home mom). Talk about a career change!
I have 2 daughters, ages 13 and 16, and a husband who is my best friend. They are good-humored about all these recipes I try out on them.
However, they complain that since I tweak ALL recipes, I can never exactly duplicate a dish. I think this creates a sense of adventure and excitement, but they grumble that even if they "loooove" a dish, there is no guarantee they will ever taste it again. heehee
I am currently building a cookbook for each of my girls - so they can take it with them when they leave the house. I not only put recipes in there, but also helpful tips I have found on this wonderful website (like how to properly bake a potato and boil an egg).
My husband and I are former Marines and have been through a lot together and seen some of the world. Can't believe we are coming up on our 19th anniversary! That is so weird - I still feel so young.
My life revolves around God and family.
The picture above is of my daughter while we were waiting at an airport in Shanghai. We decided to catch a bite to eat, and I guess she was bored.
About my reviews - I have to admit I mainly give only 5 star reviews. However, I only give them to recipes that have become true family favorites. If I find myself going back to the same recipe for the umpteenth time, I am happy to give a glowing review.
I will try anything once. While we lived in China for 2 years, I tried many interesting things. I even learned to enjoy chicken feet! They don't have a whole lot of meat on them, and they kinda look like human hands that have been chopped off, but what the heck. When in Rome....
Truly, I love all foods and all cuisines.
