I owned a bakery for 9 years and now cook for the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at the University of Texas. In my off time I enjoy riding my Harley in the Texas hill country. I always am looking for great recipes to cook for the girls. Desserts are a high priority (especially chocolate ones!!)
I have a husband that has spoiled me for the last 23 years!! We live on 21 acres in the Texas hill country on the Pedernales river and always have more projects than time. We have 2 dogs, a cat, and a parrot. (yes he talks but only when HE wants to!)
I have well over 300 cookbooks and love to read them. I can easily get lost looking through them. I have some really old ones that are great to read. I especially like the ones that (I've picked up at garage sales) have been written in. It's interesting to see what other people like to cook!
I love to bird watch and I feed hummingbirds all summer long.It takes a lot of sugar water to keep them fed!!
I am now in the process of taming a wild mustang who has become a major player in my life. Who knew it would be this much fun? It does take away from cooking at home but I still cook for the sorority when school is in session.
Spaten Beer - My major downfall
Shrimp
Poppers - Fresh jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and baked off.
