about me

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my two kids, my significant other, Scott, my sister Katy and 2 pets. We stay busy! I'm a speech language pathologist for the Santa Fe Public Schools and work with middle school students. I love to bake but don't like to cook so Scott does most of the cooking. Whatever I cook has to be easy and simple. We add green chile to nearly everything. I keep my favorite recipes in a recipe box but use recipezaar.com all the time.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite baking right now is a green chile apple pie; the recipe originated in New Mexico magazine and I got it from a friend years later. I use a pie crust recipe I found on this site. I'm "famous" for taking decorated sugar cookies to meetings I attend. I paint them with light blue icing and white snowflakes or I do yellow stars with orange icing, etc. There are so many terrific restaurants in Albuquerque;it's hard to pin down only one!
