G'Day, I live in a small town in northern Victoria Australia.
The town is on the River Murray, Australia's largest river.
The climate is extremely hot summers with temps often 100F up.
Winter is milder around 40 - 65F. We only get about 12 inches of rain a year and we rely on the river for irrigation for our crops.
They are citrus, grapes (wine and dries and fresh), avacados and vegtables.
Similar to some parts of California (eg: Napa Valley).
We live on a small avacado property, and I work for the Department of Primary Industries.
My title at work is Centre Manager.
I love fishing(fresh river and when away, the sea), so some of my favorite recipes involve fish.
Favorite Foods: Mexican, Indian, Italian, and Australian.
My famous dish is camp oven stew.
Usually cooked while on fishing and camping trips on the river in the bush.
The dish is based on beef and vegtables with a number of spices and is cooked in a cast iron camp oven on an open fire.
Favorite restaurant:In the US John Ash near Sanoma California. In Aus Blakes (Italian) at Southbank Melbourne Victoria
