My favorite cookbook is my grandmother's 1931 edition of The Joy of Cooking. Almost all the recipes my family loves now are ones I adapted from this book.
Whatever food my sons want to prepare with me is my favorite. Currently we are enjoying making our own hummus, basted French toast, and lemon-mint syrup, so there's always a pitcher of cold lemonade ready.
