about me

I know, I know....changing names, playing games....Nah - I just thought since everyone was still referring to me as CGM instead of Hobby Hunter, I'd go ahead and go back to my original Zaar name.

I am not as much into cooking and baking as I used to be, but do enough to get by and make the family happy. Having lived in several areas I've acquired recipes from each place - sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes not. If the food is too good, it's also too tempting to eat and then goes to my gut. LOL

I have to include on my page how much I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful for the salvation offered through His sacrifice.

I've enjoyed being a part of Zaar and look forward to many more years with my friends here. I've had the privilege of meeting Puppitypup, Tia Mouse, Happy Harry 2, Mareesme and Need Help, Can't Cook and Shirl J (831). Hopefully this summer I'll get to meet 4 H Mom and Mydesigirl too!

Here are some games and swaps I've participated in:

Favorite Foods:

I love food, so can't really say what my favorite is. That all depends on my moods.

I had to re-learn to eat. In 2005 I was diagnosed with NASH, stage 3 fibrosis of the liver. The only "treatment" for this is weight loss and exercise. I have to eat healthy and exercise every day for the rest of my life...but that's okay - it's a good habit to get into.

In spring 2005 my Mother passed away. I miss her TONS. She had cirrhosis, due to NASH. Some times the lessons we learn from others is not always the lesson we want to have to learn...does that make sense? I hate that it took my Mom dying before I took this liver disease seriously... Enough morbid talk...

I love where we live and I hope we can stay here for a few more years. Hubby will probably be retiring next year and we have no idea what the Lord has planned for us after that.
