about me

I never really learned to cook until I moved out of my parents' house at 21. Since then I have gone from shopping exclusively at the frozen aisle to (after getting married) making all the meals at home from scratch. My husband also loves to cook, although he still needs a lot of direction sometimes (he's from Texas so sometimes the meals he makes are just a bit too spicy for me).
The picture is of our little 'baby', a 2lb teacup Yorkie named Lola

Favorite Foods:

I love to try all kinds of foods, but among the favorites are Mexican and Chinese food (love the orange chicken and rice). But I do try to make some healthier meals most days of the week. The two recipes that my family always asks me to make during the Holidays are my Sweet Potato Casserole and Green Bean Casserole From Scratch.
My Favorite restaurant to go to is Outback Steakhouse - still looking for a good copycat recipe for their Brown Bread (I could eat that every day).
