Retired prison guard and mother of one. We live in southern Ohio, so I have had the privilage of having some really great cooks to teach me the art of cooking; mainly, my mother. I love to bake and my passion is breads and other pastry items. My biggest pet peeve is someone cooking and leaving a dirty kitchen. I clean as I go.
My favoirte foods are Chinese and southern U.S. My specialty dish that my son loves is Jambalaya, made with shrimp, chicken and lots of fresh vegies. Throw in some crawldad if you can get them. My favorite restaurant is Texas Road House. Great steaks and atmosphere. The other would be Max and Erma's.
My 15 year old son loves to cook when he's not on the football field or fishing. His specialty dish is chili with lots of garlic and Texas sheet cake. He's as good in the kitchen as he is on the ball field.
