I moved to Paris, France in October 2005 when my husband was transferred. We live in the 16th arrondisement not too far from the Eiffel Tower. I am a stay at home mom with two school-age children. I stay quite busy with language lessons and seeing this beautiful city. I have MANY cookbooks. My favorite is "La Bonne Cuisine" which I purchased when we lived in New Orleans. I love good food, wine and music.
I am really enjoying learning french cooking. I take classes that are held in individual's homes where we enjoy a demonstration in their kitchen. Afterwards, we have a lovely meal served by the hostess. Europeans take the time to enjoy life. Paris has taught me to appreciate long, slow dinners with friends and family.

I love to cook cajun foods. My husband loves when I cook Shrimp and Spaghetti Gratin. I love learning new recipes especially simple ones that people have used in their families for years. There are many great restaurants here, but my current favorite is Le Petit Retro. I really love the lamb here. I also enjoy a salad Niciose. My favorite dessert is creme brulee. I took a class and will be trying my hand at it as soon as I get my torch!
