about me

I'm a nature girl at heart, in love with the wide open spaces and the surprises that I see every time I turn around, but you won't find me hugging trees - it's hard to do with a fishing pole in one hand and a camera in the other. While the love of the outdoors came from my ranger of a father, my "hobbit" of a mother taught me the love of food, of family, and of the places you can call home, which isn't always where you put your tv and your loveseat, but where you truly feel most welcome.

Favorite Foods:

I'll give most anything a try once, and I love ethnic foods of all kinds. Give me a few moments of free time and the available ingrediants, and I'll try something new in a heartbeat. Picking a favorite, though, would be saying I don't like something else, but I've got a soft spot for Japanese and Gaelic food, and if it's got garlic in it, it's already in my cookbook.
