about me

I live in the rural midwest with my awesome husband and 3 beautiful children. I work part-time as a legislative secretary. My family and I love to go four-wheeling, sitting around a campfire and living a laid-back life after a busy week of work. I love to cook for my family and friends and love to try new recipes that have ordinary ingredients.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite style of cooking is just down-home cooking. I love putting together a well planned out dinner and seeing it come together on time knowing it's going to be well seasoned and done to perfection. Rarely do I use a recipe more than twice...I tend to eyeball the ingredients. I am known for my baking skills - cinnamon rolls, butterhorns, cookies, you know, the stuff that you have to 'walk off' afterwards. lol! Hubby and I enjoy going to Mexican or Italian restaurants. It's a challenge to figure out what went into a restaurant dish, so I can come to Recipezaar and find a recipe similar.
