Professional eater at heart, I love food and constantly seek out new things to try. I am trying to learn to enjoy cooking, but my extremely busy schedule and impatient nature means I usually stick to easy recipes that are quick to preparate. My fiance is an excellent cook, however, and his incredible skills in the kitchen make him the perfect guy to cook with!
When I'm not cooking (which is almost all the time!), I am a Ph.D. student who loves animals and wildlife photography, and I stay fit by doing quite a bit of cycling. In addition to eating, I have a passion for wines, and I'm lucky to have the fantastic wine regions of Northern California at my fingertips.
I love almost all foods! I am totally addicted to sushi, and really enjoy all Asian cuisines, including Thai, Indian, Chinese, and Vietnamese. I definitely like spicy foods, so of course Mexican and Creole cuisines are favorites as well. Jewish cooking will always be close to my heart, as I was raised on it, and foods with a Mediterranean flavor are part of my cultural heritage as well. Then of course there are the old standards, like Italian, American, and California cuisines....see, I told you I like almost all foods!
