I'm a 61 year old retired neonatal nurse, Cooking always has been and remains my passion...one of the "Rules for Life" is to approach love and cooking with reckless abandon. I embrace that fully.

I have a couple of hundred cookbooks, and each is my favorite when I find it but I spend more time on the net searching and trying recipes. I love the reviews on this site, helpful real results. I check into "Zaar" everyday, to see the new recipes, new posts in the forums, and it has become a touch stone for each day.

My husband and I live alone now, and I'm truly lucky that food is his passion too...cooking, eating...lol...we both love trying new things. He spends as much time as I do looking at recipes, planning meals, and with his friends he is the official chef of all the guy outings.

Favorite Foods:

Gosh....whatever I'm eating at the time is my favorite....easier to say what I don't like, ie, extremely "hot" spiced foods, a little goes a long way with me, I think the whole spice issue has gone a little over the edge. Ok, I don't like liver ! Having to make a statement, DH and I rate Italian as our first love (guess his heritage).... but we try everything except liver, this too we agree on. Our 3 girls all grown and with families, think coming home for dinner is a treat, and we treat them as special guests. We also have the furry kind of kids, 2 dogs and a cat....
