I am an empty nester who went back to work part-time 2 years ago.
My husband, Ron (we met online 15 years ago. That's how I got to Kansas.), is retired Air Force who now manages a restaurant and supports me in all I do. We like to travel by car except for the price of gas. He's a wonderful guy - my Dad likes him!
My daughter, Sam, now lives in CT where we were originally from and is in her 2nd year at UNH. Gosh I miss her! She's doing great in college (honors her Freshman year) and enjoying all the East Coast has to offer. We're so proud!
I started cooking when I was 8 years old as my Mom was ill. It's a creative expression and a gift I give my family. I'm real popular when we have potlucks at work. I've been collecting cookbooks and recipes since I was twelve. I love to cook but hate to clean.
My daughter has no interest in cooking (but makes wonderful chocolate chip cookies and Puppy Chow).
My step-daughter, Amy, has 3 beautiful children and a great husband.
My icon is my wonderful long-haired Chihuahua, Roxie. She's a real cutie and is completely spoiled. Roxie is great company and has brought so much love into our lives.
Chad is our very handsome but standoffish orange cat. He and Roxie are great pals.
As a displaced East Coaster, I get back to Connecticut once or twice a year to visit family. It's also my time to fill up on Pizza, Italian food, Swordfish and pastries.
Ron and I just returned from a great cruise on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas. We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday. Loved swimming with the Stingrays! I even took a cooking class in Cozumel.
