about me

My icon is my beautiful horse Lady who sadly had to be put down, but I have her as my icon because she loved eating as much as I do!! (Although I don't like hay!). My photo is of me with my best friend and 'baby' Meg.
I live in the beautiful (wet & cold) UK. I am a medical secretary, working in a hospice which is sad at times but worth it to see how grateful the families are for our help at such a difficult time in their lives. My favourite hobby is definitely cooking I love trying new things and experimenting to add my own twists to classic recipes!
I have too many cookbooks to even have a favorite! We have had to build extra shelves to house them all!
Passions are food, music, watching films and my pets, I have three beautiful kitties, two 17 year olds and 1 16 years old, and one dog aged 10 I love them all and will miss them horribly when they are gone as I have grown up with them!
Peeves are those people who change recipes until they're not recognisable and then give them one star!
I love the site and meeting people with a love for food, especially as the majority of the members are from the US so I am constantly learning about the differences across the Atlantic!
