about me

I have lived in a little Iowa hometown for the last 10 years(western Iowa)I work in Eastern Nebraska and have quite the commute with gas and all, but I enjoy it since I grew up in Nebraska. I have am married and have two kids who are 17 and 21. I work for a workers compensation company and get to travel a bit. Last June DH and I vacationed in Savannah, GA and I fell in love with the place. I really could see myself retiring there. I love the South. I became a Zaar addict quite awhile ago and I love it, I wouldn't change a thing about it. I can't imagine not having Zaar in my life, its truly helped me meet alot of awesome people and to be part of a community that not only is about the food, but also cares about everyone who is a member.

I am a Host Moderator in the New Members and the Q&A Forum. Its where I spend most of my time when I'm on Zaar, but you find me just about anywhere in the late night hours.

My Zaar Sister Shirl(J)831 and I met this past month for the first time and I had a great time with her. She is truly my dearest friend and kindred sister. Alot of people on Zaar think we are actually sisters and I take that as a compliment.

The picture of the kitty is my dear Kitterz who died on Sept. 12th. Shirl did the picture for me and I can't thank her enough. I miss him alot.

I participated in PAC and for my first one I adopted the best chefs(I think)! I would love to thank GlutenFreeGirl, Panthur, Mini_1 and MissJuliee for allowing me to take them in and try their recipes! I had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Into my 2nd PAC I adopted Kizzikate and PdxBarb. I always pick the best. Check their recipes out as well. All winners!!!

Favorite Foods:

My favorite food is a toss up between Mexican and Seafood. Im also known as a casserole queen at home. My favorite cable network station is FoodTV and I love Emeril Lagasse. One day I would love to eat at one of his restaurants.
