I'm 'from' New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Oregon, Seattle, Santa Barbara and Paris (with side trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Venezuela, Canada, Belgium). I love discovering new cuisines and learning new dishes. But I love to put a healthier 'spin' on things as my weight is always looking for a way to creep up. I'm hovering at the gates of Type II diabetes so I have plenty of reasons to keep my diet 'light' and 'clean'.
I'm 'famous' for my vegetarian lasagna (homemade sauce and five cheeses), Biloxi-style potato salad (the secret is REAL mayo and dijon mustard), gumbo (YUM) and for my willingness to try new things--sometimes with disasterous results! I'd like to be famous for brown rice and veggies that knock your socks off! I'm working on it!
