about me

Hubby of 21 years, kids and I are here in Fiji on a work contract. Loving the place, the people, the climate, and getting used to the culture... been here since July 07.

My passion is NOT cooking. I don't even like doing cooking. But to eat, one must cook, and I have a family that needs to eat.

Instead my creative streak loves vibrant colours, change, adventure. I hang around here because it's the easiest way to find my recipe books, and generally, most people here are very friendly.

Kids are homeschooled. Daughter 15 and son 12, plus 2 sisters we are in the process of adopting, aged 12 and 11. Awesome kids. Will be glad when we finally have them with us. Until then we wait, and pray.

5 stars, mindbogglingly delicious
4 stars, hey this is REALLY GOOD and well worth cooking but I changed something to fit our tastes, or limited access to ingredients.
3 stars, hmm, not quite what we like but probably well worth making for someone else.
2 stars or 1 star, I won't rate on. Everyone's tastes are different.
