about me

I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, about 150 miles away from where I grew up, which is near the Quad Cities area.

I've graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and I now live with my wonderful fiancé, whom I met in high school. We've been together for 8 years, and we've been engaged for 3 years. We're working on planning our wedding.

I like to cook, but I'm not very experienced. I really need to learn more about cooking meat, because that's the area in which I have the least experience.

I'm really enjoying having my own kitchen to cook and experiment in. I've recently started using my Crock Pot, and I look forward to trying more recipes in it.

Favorite Foods:

I love baking, cookies especially. It seems like I can always manage to make a cookie that turns out tasty.

My two favorite restaurants are back home, one is a pizza place called St. Giuseppe's, where my fiancé used to work, and the other is a Mexican restaurant called Azteca 2.

My favorite pizza place in the Chicago area is Giordano's. A close second is Moretti's.

A recently discovered gem is Pita Inn, where I had my first falafel. Delicious!
