I live in Ohio. I have one very picky son to cook for. I also have a miniature daschund to cook for. I love to cook and try out new recipes when I have the time.

Favorite cookbooks? I have never seen a cookbook I did not like but I would have to say my favorites are community cookbooks. Churches and other organizations are a great source for tried and true recipes.

In my spare time, I enjoy candlemaking, working out, reading, trying to learn how to sew, and spending time with my son and dog. Hopefully, I'll get to start a garden next year and do some canning. I love to learn new things all of the time. I love to shop at http://www.penzeys.com. They have great seasonings and spices! I love their fajita seasoning, Northwoods seasoning for fried chicken, and their lemon-garlic Trinidad Marinade for baked fish.

I enjoy OAMC to stock my freezer for those busy and lean budget times of year. I also love using my pressure cooker.

In the January 2007 issue of Penzey's One magazine, my family was featured in the Main Street feature on page 30.

Favorite Foods:

Cheesecake, steak, bread, a lot of stuff that keeps me working out. I love to make comfort-type foods like chicken and noodles. Homemade noodles, of course. As far, as favorite restaurants go, I would rather fire up the grill or my own oven any day. I don't like to and usually can't afford to eat outside of the house. I enjoy knowing exactly how and what is in my food.
