about me

I like to cook, but not clean up. The picture above is my second oldest son, the cake may not be perfect, but I hear about his "tractor birthday" even now, two years later. I have four boys and a wonderful husband, who can cook but doesn't like to clean up either. I love collecting recipes but I don't always try what I collect, which aggravates my husband. He also gets frustrated when he likes a recipe I've tried from one book or another (I only have four shelves devoted to cookbooks) and can't find it, so I'm getting better at putting the recipes I know my family likes in a 3-ring binder. I keep looking for healthy recipes that I like, but it's funny how I'm not finding them in the chocolate category I'm learning to enjoy fresh produce more and last year we joined a CSA, hopefully I can convince my husband we should participate again next summer.

Favorite Foods:

I have a mouth full of sweet teeth, so if it's sweet, I'll probably like it. Getting better at liking beans, but still looking for a lentil recipe to love.
