I have been married for 20 years and have two sons ages 16 and 18. I love to bake, especially yeast doughs. My husband wanted to get me a bread machine when they first came out and I told him I didn't want one because I love the challenge of kneading and making the dough myself. I never cooked until I had my first son. I think I have done pretty good over the years (at least that's what my family tells me!) I love to share recipes with friends, relatives and neighbors. My favorite cookbooks are usually ones published by local organizations, ones with old family recipes in them.

Favorite Foods:

I love making bread for my family. My recipe I'm most famous for though is my bacon and water chestnuts recipe. I warn people when I give it to them: If you make it once, you will be expected to make it all the time. So be prepared!
